Your 75-minute appointment includes a personalised skin consultation, customised exfoliation, a professional skin needling treatment and LED light therapy. Every session is tailored after assessment to ensure the safest approach for your skin.

Skin needling is suitable for most skin types, skin tones and concerns. However, it isn’t recommended if you have an active skin infection, a history of keloid scarring, or if you’re currently taking Roaccutane (isotretinoin) or any other medication that can interfere with skin healing.

Your skin will be professionally assessed during your consultation. If skin needling is not the right fit for you, we will recommend the most appropriate alternative.

It is normal to experience temporary redness, mild swelling, tightness and a warm, sunburn-like sensation. Your skin may also feel slightly sensitive or reactive.

These responses are expected and typically settle within a few days as your skin heals and regenerates. If any symptoms persist beyond 48 hours or intensify, please get in touch with us.

Treatment day: avoid applying water or any skincare products for the rest of the day, keep your hands off your face and sleep on a fresh, clean pillowcase. Avoid exercise, heat and sweating for at least 24 hours, and pools, saunas and steam rooms for 48 hours.

Days 1 to 3: keep your routine minimal with a gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturiser and SPF during the day. Mineral makeup can be used if needed. Avoid all active ingredients, including AHA/BHA exfoliants, retinoids, vitamin C and corrective serums.

Day 4 onwards: as your skin naturally flakes, you may introduce a gentle physical exfoliation (no chemical exfoliants) and gradually reintroduce your actives, depending on your skin's tolerance.

This depends on your skin type, concerns and goals. For optimal results, we recommend a course of at least 4 to 6 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart, in line with your skin's natural cell turnover cycle.

Once you have achieved your desired results, maintenance treatments every 6 to 7 weeks help support ongoing collagen production and preserve your results.

Yes. We use the MicroPen EVO, which is both FDA and TGA approved for use in Australia and listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG ID: 417400).

At ReSKN Studio, skin needling can be performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding when the treatment is appropriately customised. No active or contraindicated ingredients are applied during the procedure. Please let us know when you book, and suitability will be assessed during your consultation.

We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks after anti-wrinkle injections and 4 weeks after dermal fillers before skin needling. If you have skin needling first, we generally recommend waiting at least 4 dasy before injectables, provided your skin has healed. We also recommend checking with your cosmetic injector.
